Living Room Makeover: Flip Edition

I can’t believe it, but this is the final room{s} to show y’all of our first flip. This house was so fun to work on since it was a great transformation, and the living room was no exception.

The room started off with some seriously great bones. The curved brick wall, the fireplace, the open{ish} concept, it was all fun! We knew some things worked as is, but a lot had to change. The main things were the small arches, as well as the fireplace. You’ll see a bit further down how it was furnished to tie in with the transformation, however, that can all be changed (obviously), and new inhabitants can go onto websites like https://www.plushy.co.uk/footstools/footstool-coffee-table/ as well as similar others, to find some decor items that suit what they want their overall theme to be.

Here is how it started:

The first few things we did were to take out the arches, and open the wall next to it:IMG_0646

Then came the fun aesthetic parts: hardwood floors, smoothing of wall, paint, painting the fireplace and adding a mantle, adding can lights and ceiling fans, painting the ceiling in the other room etc. It is SO fun to see all the changes completely transform the rooms. I then got to start buying furniture which is something I really enjoyed! I was going to get some Barrymore furniture chairs but in the end, I decided to get a big sofa. This room is designed to have lots of people in, so I thought a sofa would be best. I also bought a TV cabinet, mirror, and a huge leather chair which is super comfy. I’m just so pleased with how everything has turned out!

I really love the mantle we put on. It is actually an old rail road track! Those types of details are my favorite thing about working on homes, adding fun touches!IMG_1080 IMG_1359

What is your favorite part of the rooms? The fireplace? The curved wall? The ceiling beams? I can never decide!

Now that this house is done it just makes me even more excited to get going on the new flip- cant wait to show you guys it all!!!
