What a month this has been! We moved, he got his first real sickness, he started waving, and so on. Let’s go through it all in photos!
This was our first day in the new house. Clearly, we were all excited about it:) To be honest, we feel that this is the house of our dreams, which we luckily got hold of after shortlisting several properties. However, the process of buying a new property was not as tiresome for us. The reason is that one of our friends who recently bought a property walked us through the process in detail. She told us who to contact and what to do to expedite the buying process. For instance, she advised us to ask the shortlisted sellers for a building inspection report provided by firms similar to Master Inspections (whose website can be found by looking for “building report auckland” on the Internet), so that we could know what condition the properties were in. Besides this, she also told us to contact sellers directly and be upfront about price negotiation.
Anyway, I might have bragged too much about the buying process. So, let us swiftly come back to the topic. We are insanely blessed in the transition department for Bray. He started sleeping here just as great as before; nothing got messed up! Way to go, baby boy!
Thank goodness, too- because walking downstairs in the middle of the night sounds like NO fun!
We all were so tired due to the move anyway. Hiring Local Movers may have reduced some of our stress, yet we might have to handle so many matters in our new house. I think, probably, unpacking would be the hardest task to accomplish with the baby.
To be honest, our new house is not only a place that provides us shelter and happiness. In the future, I might as well use this new house as a source to earn some extra money. Yes, the readers got it right. I am talking about renting out the new house. I know what you all might be thinking, “Renting is a hassle”– finding tenants, getting the contacts signed, making the tenancy legal and whatnot. That is why, when I will give renting my house a serious thought, I will probably take the help of letting agents. Wondering, how I got to know the secret to getting a property rented in a blink of an eye? Well, one of my friends told me about this. Actually, he lived in Manchester and owned a house there. When he was about to rent his property, he told me, “I might try these try these letting agents Manchester and get my house rented ASAP”. Well, to be honest, his renting issue seemed sorted quickly. So, I think I too will take assistance from a letting agent when the time comes.
Anyway, coming back to the topic, we are still rocking the army crawl. This month he has really been hanging out up on all fours, but still not actually crawling with his belly off the floor. He now can go from sitting up to crawling, and crawling to sitting himself up! Way to work that core bray;)
We have put on Baby Einstein a few mornings this past month and it is so cute to watch him watch it. It holds his attention for a solid 15 minutes, which is golden!
One serious source of entertainment for him? Our beloved Roomba. He loves following this thing around, and I love it for now yet another reason..cleaning our floors while entertaining Bray!
With the weather being amazing, we have been outside every day for around an hour. Whether its at the park, laying around the back yard, or on a walk- we are soaking up the nice weather and Vitamin D. This kid loves nothing more than playing outside.
We brushed his teeth for the first time this month. Our doctor told us when he got around 6 teeth to start, and considering he now has 7, with the 8th coming in any day now, we did. He loves the Toms strawberry toothpaste.
His all-time favorite thing to do all day, every day.. cruise around the house in his walker. This thing helps me keep him out of most dangerous things, but I still have to keep my eye on him constantly. This kid is obsessed with cords and outlets. Having a baby walker is a lifesaver! For anyone considering getting one of these for their kids, it may be worth checking out these great reviews to help make the decision process a lot easier, especially as there are quite a few baby walkers on the market.
We have officially baby proofed every outlet, and are working our way around the house with everything else.
A new toy- the toilet paper holder. I was dreading the day he realized how fun this was, but its kind of cute at the same time.
I am putting this baby boy to work by writing some of my blog posts for me. He’s pretty proficient at the Leap Frog:)
This cheesy little man has been loving his sunglasses on walks. We love it when Gpa joins us:)
Like I said earlier, he had his first true illness. I thought he was just teething, but he just seemed so miserable, so we took him to the doctor to find out he had a double ear infection:( Poor little man. Lots of extra love and snuggles for him this month. My mom loved the extra time with him.
This month he has also become obsessed with leaves and grass, crumbling it all, and attempting to eat it all! Most of the time I can stop him in time. Most of the time;) He also has been so much more interactive with the dogs. He belly laughs so hard whenever they play by him, and he talks to them all day long. He doesn’t stop moving, any time ever. Hence why I couldn’t even get him to sit still for the photo this month! Here is an updated list of things hes eating. We aren’t doing purees at all anymore, except for using up the frozen pureed fruit to add to his yogurt in the morning.
Baby boy,
What a joy you are. You give me the best days ever, and mix in some bad ones too;) But luckily the hard days are few and far between. Leaving you for three days this month was so hard because I missed you a ton, but it also just made my heart grow fonder. I love you, your massive belly, and your beautiful smile.
I also talked a little bit about 4 tips of building my breast milk stash up over on Scottsdale Moms Blog today. Go check it out!

He is seriously so sweet. I love the picture of the two of you working at the island. Adorable!
Unfortunately, my child refuses to be confined to the walker, which is a bummer. I was really hoping. They are dangerous little boogers.
