Pumpkin Remodel
This is another easy and quick Fall project. I love pumpkins, gourds, really anything fall. I don’t generally love the way they look straight from the store though. Quick fix-paint them.
Supplies:
Everything here was purchased at Michaels. The total cost I believe was $12.
Process:
- Paint the brown and yellow ones all over with a thin coat of gold
- Paint the white pumpkin only in the creases, so it doesn’t turn in to a gold pumpkin
- Paint an L {that I think turned out pretty terribly, J agrees}
- Sand the L down so it looks a little more realistic {but still pretty terrible}
End result:
The part that I love about this project is where I put them. I bought two {wish I would have bought 4 though} barrels of hay for $6 each.
Side note:Wish I lived somewhere that I didn’t have to buy hay at MICHAELS!!
This is now what you see when you walk up to our front door, this and the cute wreath. Just don’t expect for me to look cute when I open the door;)
What type of decorations do you have going on at your front door? Think my L looks as bad as we do? Good, that means you are normal;)

How cute! I think I have that exact yellow gourd from Michaels- and ya, I *bought* hay too! lol. I am surrounded by hay fields and farms so it’s kind of crazy that I bought it, haha. Great idea though about monogramming the pumpkin, never thought of that!
PS- just browsing your house pics too and I love your style girl!
