Apparently I am terrible about keeping everyone up to date on some rooms in our house. We have had the laundry room finished for awhile now, and I just forgot to show it to y’all! Obviously, even when a room is ‘finished’ in our house, its never really finished. We still could use some stuff on the walls, but for the most part-its finished:)
I’ll give y’all a little sneak peek of one of my favourite items in the laundry room, the vintage bakers cabinet. We got this amazing cabinet at an auction for $150. J used some auction mind games and bid up another item for a couple he knew wanted to cabinet as well, in hopes that they wouldn’t be able to go too high on the cabinet. Terrible, yes, honest and happens often at auctions, yes. We have been on the losing end on many of those battles:/
The cabinet was one piece that we didn’t know what we were going to do with it, or where we were going to put it but knew we needed it! We finally ended up using it for storage in the laundry room. This cabinet can be used to keep all the liquids and soaps required for bathing and cleaning the house. A Cleaning bundle usually consists of a variety of products like dishwashing soap, toilet and floor cleansers, etc., if not kept in one place together we tend to search the whole house for them when they are required. Apart from putting those products in one cabinet, I get to store my adorable antique china on the top half, and extra towels on the bottom. These things together may not be the prettiest items to look at, but it functions perfectly! We realize having china in the laundry room isn’t too ‘normal’ but I wanted it in the cabinet, and it works:)
Isn’t that one of the cutest cabinets you have ever seen! I just love it. Be sure to check back tomorrow for a full reveal on the laundry room! Can’t wait to share all of the details with you loves.

Love it when furniture shows up in unexpected places.

That cabinet is fantastic and I’m all for storage where you can find it, even if it’s in the laundry room! Have you ever considered frosting the glass or maybe putting fabric curtains on the inside. That might be a bit too country but since you have fabric under the sink it might work. Then your two seemingly different items wouldn’t be as visible.

Love your laundry room-so fresh and fun (and elegant)!
The cigar box project is adorable …& the dresser in the background with all the different knobs and the glassware on top – so cool!

It is indeed very, very cute, and I do love your dishes inside it. I think you should paint the insdie back and sides the same yellow color as your sink cupboard.
