New Nursery Art

I am pretty freaking excited to show you guys some of the new things we have done in Winston’s nursery lately. His room has been our main focus for the past month, and lots of changes have been taking place. We are currently working on building out his closet and made some sweet DIY doors for it. The other thing we have focused on is getting some new nursery art in his room.

It has been a long time coming, and mainly because we have been so picky. We just couldn’t decide on the look we were going for, much less the exact art we wanted in there. We also wanted to be able to incorporate a vintage mirror that was Braylen’s nursery in the old house, and a new DIY art project I did a few weeks back. Luckily we found some incredible prints on Minted, and were able to make the process even easier by getting them already framed!

We wanted to keep the art playful yet not kiddy looking. We went with the Quiver print and the Gazelle print, and I love them both!! And the frames have a really great reclaimed barn wood look to them, so they go well with the feel of the room.

I am also so giddy that we were able to bring back this vintage mirror. It has been sitting in Brays closet ever since we moved in here two years ago. I didn’t want to pack it away because I knew I really wanted to use it somewhere again, but it didn’t fit in Brays room here. I think it is the perfect compliment to his iron crib and DIY sailboat mobile. It’s kinda funny that I love this mirror so much considering it has a few broken parts, but I think that it just adds character, right?

It is so nice walking in to his room now and having stuff on the walls! And I seriously cannot wait to show you all the details of the room, and the new closet once it gets finished. It has been a lot of work, but hey- this cutie {and his little play hammer} is worth it!

I love this room! That sailboat is pretty incredible. My sons is two and a half now and his room is ready for a refresh, this gives me some ideas! Thanks!

The ship is awesome! And the mirror is charming in the mix. The prints look like water colors. Loving the room. And that little cutie looks like he is enjoying it too.
