While the Double Dormer flip has been making great progress, it hasn’t really been stuff that would be fun to show off. The biggest thing we’ve done so far is get the roof repaired because it was causing a few links and that’s not really too exciting to look at! The only thing I can say about roofing is to make sure you trust the people who’re doing the repair. Check out a legitimate contractor like this one: Roofers In CT | #1 Nominated Roofing Company in Connecticut | Call Now. By looking for reviews and referrals then you’ll be able to ensure a good quality job. Because have our roof repaired now, we want to be able to respond quickly if a natural disaster were to strike and ruin our freshly renovated roof. This is why we have decided to have the contact details of The Local Tree Experts or someone similar just in case our home ends up requiring some tree removal due to storms. Trees have a habit of flying into homes when the intense winds pick up. With that planned and prepared with can now focus on all the finishing touches to this beautiful home.
This weekend a lot is supposed to be wrapping up- and then we will be starting in on the fun stuff. In the meantime, I wanted to show you what we are expecting the exterior to look like when we are done:
Just kidding! That would be a whole new house, and while I would LOVE for ours to look like that, it just isn’t a reality. On a more realistic note, these are some images that we are pulling inspiration from.
I love all the detail in this exterior. While I think we are leaning towards a white paint color {or lack thereof?!} I love the look of this grey. I am also obsessed with these garage doors, they look great! Our current garage doors need a garage door repair in Lansdale, PA. but I’m certainly going to show this picture to the guy fixing our garage door and see if he can replicate it in any way.
One thing that we are for sure doing is having this beautiful contrast of white paint and a black roof. I think the contrast brings about an awesome curb appeal! I love this idea, as who doesn’t want to have an attractive house? I know it will take a lot of work to get our house to where we want it to be, as we’ve only just finished the roof repair stage. That was a long process in itself, as we had to follow this Roofing Checklist to make sure that we could get started with the repairs as soon as possible. It would save our contractors from having to do the small tasks that could have easily been done by us beforehand. But now that all of this is out the way, I can focus on trying to turn my dream into a reality.
I really hope that we can create some sort of walkway to the front door. The front door wont be as ‘front porch’ like as we would ideally love, but I hope we can still make some sort of a grand entrance for this home!
As usual, more than anything for this home, and all homes that we do, I hope it will truly be a ‘home’ that someone loves soon! I hope it will become a safe place, a happy place, where people can gather and create beautiful memories.

Before I read the “just kidding” I thought, well if it looks like THAT, you two will just have to move in!
