I have a feeling that I will be saying this every month, but man- I cannot believe he is 3 months {really 3 1/2 months now- yikes!}. He continues to be the absolute sweetest baby ever, and only gets sweeter, cuter, and better every day. This past month his personality is coming out so much more. He is the poor sweet second child in the instance that he will be totally content with wherever I put him down {bouncer, playmat, car seat, whatever} and then the second anyone makes eye contact with him he just LIGHTS up. Smiles, coo’s, just loves the attention! I try to make sure he gets as much attention as he needs/wants, but life is busy with two!
This month he also started giggling and it is the best thing.ever. And every time he laughs from me tickeling him, he crunhces up his little body and shrugs his shoulder up high. Its like he cant contain the feeling! And immediately after a good laugh, he gets the hiccups every time!
He also has started to blow bubbles constantly, and eat his hands. Sometimes its because hes hungry, but mainly I think its just a sensation thing. He also has started to bat at his toys on his playmat, which is a stage I just love. I love watching his little mind work, seeing his hands, getting his toys, etc.
We went and spent a weekend up North while Jeremy was on a guys trip to Portland. It was so nice getting out of the heat, and spending time with some girlfriends and their kids. The trip was a little bit of a cluster getting up there. Winston had a blow out on me, we got stuck in traffic and the trip that normally takes 2 1/2 hours took SEVEN, and I got a public bathrooms toilet water in my eye. Also, the last night with Braylen waking up multiple times in the night because his stomach hurt {he hasn’t woken up in the middle of the night in about a year solid}, but both boys did great! This was me trying to keep my sh*t together to send a picture to Jeremy on the way up there:
This boy still loves bath time so much! He has totally grown out of the witching hour, which is great- but he still needs the bath to be able and be happy and calm until I feed him to go to bed at night. I put him and Bray together every night, and they both love it. Lately he just laughs so hard and whatever Bray is doing, especially when they are splashing around.
I left him in a childcare situation for the first time at MOPS and he did awesome! Since then I have also left him in the childcare at my bible study every week- and he seriously just goes with the flow. The girls that watch him always say how easy of a baby he is, and I couldn’t agree more! Its so funny to me that I am already doing it {and feeling totally comfortable with it} since with Bray I wouldn’t put him in any type of childcare {other than family watching him} until he was seriously like 7 months!
He now sleeps on his tummy at all naps and night {except for the time from bedtime till dreamfeed, he is still in the RnP then- just because its easier for me}. He goes down so easily still, as long as he has his paci to start he put himself to sleep within minutes. Sometimes I just hold him and pat his back till hes asleep- mainly for myself! He has never been a baby that needed any help going down, and I am SO thankful for that!! {Sorry- I know this schedule thing is long winded and boring- I mainly do it for myself for referencing!} His schedule is this: 7am-wake and feed. 8am- nap. 10am-wake and feed. 11am- nap. 12:30ish-wake and feed around 1. 1:30/2-nap. 4:30pm-wake and feed. and then most nights I don’t put him down for an extra little nap, just try and keep him happy until bedtime. Sometimes he needs a little 30min. catnap, but most times we do a bath and he eats and is asleep by 7pm. Dreamfeed at 10:30, and then we start over again at 7am:) He has had a handful of nights where he doesn’t wake at all until 6 or 7, but he definitely doesn’t eat anymore in the middle of the night!
He also got to meet his future wife a few weeks back. One of my childhood best friends and his incredible wife had a sweet baby girl on the SAME day as Winston was born- meant to be or what?!
Bray is still totally obsessed with him and is insanely sweet to him. He is also super helpful to me! He always gives him his paci or talks to him if he is a little fussy and I cant get to him right away. I just can’t wait for how much more the relationship is going to develop here. He is already sharing his toys with him even;)
And for anyone wondering if the older kid gets as much attention once the baby gets here- they totally do!! I am needing to do a few motherhood posts, and I will do one on that- but needless to say, Bray is doing justttt fine:)
We love you Winston. You have been more than we ever prayed for. Your calm and sweet demeanor, your big smiles and giggles, the way you crunch up when laughing, everything about you.
