Christmas is right around the corner..right? Kidding- I never want to bypass all the other holidays in between, but we did get our family photos done for our Christmas cards last weekend. With my big family’s schedule being so crazy, and only getting crazier as the holiday times approach, we just went for it- a few months early:)
We got to use my fabulous best friend Melissa Young Photography for these, and other than it being 105 degrees and us wearing Fall attire, it was great! Or as great as a photo shoot can be with five kids 2 1/2 and under! I have a almost 2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old. My sister has a 2 year old and a 5 month old, and my brother has a 1 year old. It was chaos trying to get these kids to smile, or at least not cry- but it was entertaining! It was so special having us all together, especially with the new additions! The last time we had professional photos done with my family there were no babies at all, and my brother wasn’t even married! Time flys and makes it so much more fun!! Obviously, I couldn’t have asked anyone else apart from Melissa, as I know how good she is, but it would be hard to recommend her to everyone. My best recommendation, whether you’re looking for a Cape Cod family photographer or a London family photographer, do your research. If you want your photos to be the best they can, make sure you check portfolios of work and reviews of different photographers, then you can rest assured you made the right decision, like I did!
A few afterthoughts-
- If Bray is in reaching distance of Winston, he is patting his head saying ‘hey bruh-were’
- You should never wear a loose kimono in photos, unless you want to look 100lbs. heavier than you are when the wind blows it open
- Grandparents are the best thing ever
- Braylen is a beast of a child
- I didn’t include a lot of the runners-up photos for our Christmas card, because apparently that is something you don’t share with people until you send out your photo..and considering how indecisive I am, I wont know until the day I place the order- so many of my favorite photos wont be shown until then:)
Happy Friday friends! Love you all.
