Oh my gosh guys, have you ever heard of this thing called Twitter? What about Google+? Ya, I had to- but I didn’t join either of them until this week! I know, I know, everyone has Twitter- and has for years probably. I resisted it for so long but finally caved. Here’s the thing though, I am fairly tech-savvy {aka I am not a complete moron} but I have no idea what I am doing on either of these sites. No clue at all how to use them best. I just glanced at this awesome post from Blogging with Amy that’s all about Google+, but haven’t had time to really get into it.
So- here’s where you come in. What do you guys love about either of these? Do you like Twitter or Google+ better? Any tips or tricks I should know about? I know that businesses who want to build on their online presence will use GMB Gorilla (Google My Business) to help with bringing in traffic and open themselves up to more customers so they can grow through this optimization.
Also, don’t forget to come and follow me…because Lord knows I need some friends on these sites. It can be difficult when you start a new account, however, I’ve heard that there are ways to get followers, as in real Twitter followers, crazy right? Apparently, you can find plenty of web services that offer growth tools that can help garner an audience. There’s quite a lot out there so I’m not really sure where to start, there is this article from Influencive which could give me more info. That would be handy, especially since I’m new to the app and need some followers. Of course, if any of you guys want to follow my Twitter, I would be grateful. I would also love to follow you back!
Truthfully, I don’t use either even though I have accounts to both. Google+ is like another Facebook, but no one really uses it, so it’s like you need to post on both places and seems redundant. I’m not a big writer or a witty one at that, so I don’t really use Twitter. However, I think you’d love Twitter!
I love Google+. It is WAY better than Facebook because you choose who gets to see what you are posting. I post a new picture of my little man almost every day, but only my family ever sees it, which I love. I hardly use Facebook because I don’t want all of my personal stuff all over the internet for everyone to see.
I’m pretty new to Twitter too, but I’m really liking it. I look at it as texting strangers. lol. I like it.
I still find Facebook to be the most engaging. My audience is there. I do have a twitter account, but it just repeats what is posted to Facebook, and that seems to be what most people are doing. I wouldn’t stress out about joining more social networks. The purpose of all that is to drive people to your site anyways.
