As you know, I just finished up throwing Melissa a bridal shower at our house. It ended up being such a fun night, a relaxed shower, and perfect time to love on our friend. I am a huge fan of throwing showers at unconventional times. Having this at night automatically gave it more of a laid back feel, and allowed people to really relax, enjoy the food and drink, and not feel so much like a ‘shower’. I think it’s really important to make sure that the bride is relaxed. Particularly as they are probably stressing out over a lot of details. From the dress to whether you should opt to design your own custom wine labels, everything seems to be blurry! Weddings are a time of celebration, however, there is so much that needs to be planned that sometimes it can feel a bit much at times. There is so much that needs to be sorted, such as finding the perfect wedding dress (if you are still trying to find the perfect dress you can visit Charlotte store here if you are interested), to finding the perfect flowers. At the end of the day though, it’s all worth it. But at least I can offer a relaxing shower in the mean time and I mean who doesn’t love handing out with friends and just having a good night?
Besides the never ending task of getting the house clean {with a nearly 2 year old following behind me making said mess again!} I loved the little details here and there that added to the shower. For starters, I made cute little ‘luggage’ bars of soap that were handed out as the party favors. We had Personalized Balloons and foods from all around the world. I also brought in almost ten vintage globes that we are currently selling at Modern Manor, to add to the decor.
For the food I had the awesome help of the other bridesmaids. I honestly couldn’t have done it without them – it would have been a nightmare! I hear some people go to Organic CBD Nugs to get themselves some well-earned CBD after a stressful day, and let me tell you, if I had to do all of the cooking for this evening myself I’d have definitely bought out the whole shop! To make things a bit easier on me we each chose a themed salad and bruschetta to make, attempting to have a worldly variety to offer the guests {think Greek, Chinese Chicken, Mexican, etc.}. Mix that yummy food with delicious {at least that’s what everyone told me!} white or red sangria, margaritas, or beer, and you’ve got yourself an awesome bridal shower spread!
I felt so blessed to be able to celebrate my best friend, and to be surrounded by so amazing women along the way.
Check back tomorrow for a few more details on those party favors!
