You are doing a great job! Really. We’ve all been there–exhausted and defeated–but at the same time filled with this tremendous feeling of LOVE for our children. (I have 5, almost all grown) After a hard day I called my stepmom (my mom died when I was 4) and thanked her for all her hard work. I never realized the sacrifices and unselfishness that she had, until I was living it with my own. Well written post and big hugs to you!
Adrianne, The fact that you are even feeling this way is proof that you are a fantastic Mom! You will find your groove. One thing I used to do was go to the gym everyday. It was something just for me, and I got to get a shower in, with hair and makeup done. When I picked up my baby I felt fantastic and ready to face the day. I didn’t care about the childcare germs – my kids are hardly EVER sick because they developed a great immune system 🙂 Hang in there, girl!
