I am also talking later today over at Scottsdale Moms Blog about whether or not we should use a bumper in Bray’s crib. What’s your take on bumpers? We don’t have one as of now, but I am thinking we might need to get one…
I was weary about bumpers but finally gave in since we were losing pacifiers in the night A LOT! I got the SIDS proof breathable bumpers. I had to watch a youtube video to figure out how to weave into the crib. Been great ever since!
I had them before they were outlawed or whatever. Since your baby sleeps on his stomach a lot, I wouldn’t get one. I’ve been on the ambulance when we had a SIDS call. Will never forget it. Ann
We have one in my 6mth old’s crib. He loves to cuddle his back up against it. He didn’t sleep in his crib until 5 months and he could roll over both ways really well. I will take it out as soon as he starts pulling up.

We are purchasing bumpers today – as the kids are rolling over, even in the sleep sack, their legs frequently get caught in the bars of the crib.

We are due in March and I’ve been doing a bit of bumper research and I’m considering these. Much cuter than the mesh ones out there.
