Before we know it, Christmas will be here! While there are about a million and one reasons why I love Christmas, I especially love getting Christmas cards from my family and friends. It is so fun to see just how much families change year after year. This year my family got our photos done super early {aka while it was still HOT out and we sweat to death in our Fall attire!}, but it was so nice having them done early so that way I could order my cards early.
Last year we got our cards from Minted, and I just loved the quality, customer service, and all the beautiful options. They made it even better this year with some fun new design features that I loved! For instance, now instead of having a typical printed address on the cards {which by the way is the best thing EVER not having to hand address every envelope!!}, they now have these beautifully designed options for you. They are far from the plain-jane address options, and I love it! I went with the Cheers option, and the front is so cute with the Cheers circle and address {I am showing a blank address here, you know- so you don’t stalk down any of our family members:) }, and then our return address on the back.

I am most excited about celebrating the holiday with my baby girl and husband for our first Christmas as a family! Oh and setting up a tree for the first time in 4 years… we have always traveled on Christmas to be with far away family but this year we are staying home so I get to put up a tree!
I am most excited to continue my husbands families Christmas Eve tradition by having all of the extended family over! We smoke a turkey and have a white elephant exchange. The kids get to see santa. It is a wonderful evening!

Christmas morning with the kids is pretty great. It’s still pretty magical for them and it is fun to watch.

What I’m most excited about this Christmas? Easy! I’ll be home on maternity leave with our little man cub. I can’t wait to be a mom and I surely cannot wait to smother him with love during the holiday season and always.
This is our first Christmas with JUST our family. We usual travel each holiday season but this year we are spending it with our family. I am excited about beginning our own family traditions!
