With summer approaching, no matter where you live- it means outdoor parties. Yes, our parties in Phoenix may include pools, misters, or at least lots and lots of water- but they still happen! I had the awesome opportunity to collaborate with a bunch of my local loves and throw a rad Block Party to celebrate this season.
When it comes to Block Parties, food and drink are key- but so is entertainment! Block Party outdoor games are SO much fun to put together. My favorite way to compile them is to buy some and DIY some. Because let’s be honest, who has time to truly DIY everything anymore? I know I do not! Now, we all as parents know that some of our children are not the outdoor game-types, they love to play online games and check out the new Roblox mod menu or play group games like Among Us, etc. which is perfectly fine as they still get to connect and have fun with friends, however, when summer rolls around it is best to get them out every once in a while and join in on the fun! So, what better way to enjoy summer fun – a block party.
For the games for this Block Party I went with a few options, most super kid friendly even! I got a vintage- style horseshoe set, beach paddleballs set, and a DIY a Big Jenga set {tutorial for that this week!} When they’re older, we might incorporate some more grown-up options – depending on their interests at the time, of course – but I know a few people who heard we were trying to come up with ideas for fun things to do outside and airsoft came up in their suggestions time and time again. When the time’s right, I may well head to the Only BB Guns website to see what kind of items are available but, from what I’ve read about it, airsoft is a more popular outdoor activity than I realized so it may well be ideal after all. One of my friends loves playing airsoft, so he was able to tell me about companies like Bespoke Airsoft. They claim that “We have some of the best priced airsoft guns in the UK“. Perhaps we should look on their website to find some airsoft guns. I think a few of us are keen to play airsoft now!
It was so fun seeing these games easily set up, and how they entertained both kids and parents the same! Of course, kids can always use a little incentive when it comes to playing well with each other, so we even busted out the old school candy from World Market for the two top winners! The kids were in heaven! Eventually, the kids did get tired of all of these games. Once they got tired, it was time for the parents to have some time to themselves. We played a range of games, such as poker tournaments online. Thankfully, one of the parents had found a website (like this one here) that gave us online casino recommendations. We were then all able to play online in a range of different casino games that even gave us the chance to make some money.
If you want to see just how this Block Party came together, be sure to check out the rest of the details from these fabulous ladies here, and come back this week to see a full tutorial on how to make that awesome Big Jenga set!
