Tomorrow my baby turns one! One!!!
This past year has completely flown by. He has changed so much over the past few months, and I am a terrible mama for not keeping up on his monthly updates. I have been keeping track of some things here and there, so here it goes:
He is a speedy man crawling everywhere, climbing on to EVERYTHING {stairs included 20x a day}. He will take up to three steps now too, and is incredible at standing . He also is back to his sweet self, with some weeks a little off because of teeth. He now has two on the bottom, and four on the top. He says Mama and Dada, and i’m sure other words will be flowing soon. He loves being held, tickled, swung around. He loves when you sing songs with him, and shaking his little body to music. He freaks out over Mickey Mouse and Bubble Guppies. It only holds his attention for a few minutes, but man if he hears them on TV from across the room, he is in front of that TV in seconds!
He is definitely a mamas boy, but he is getting better and better about happily going to others. He gets SO excited when his dada, gma, or papa get home. He acts like he is trying to fly by flapping his arms and kicking his legs. Love it. He takes a morning nap from about 830-10/1030 and then him and Bray both take their afternoon from 1-3/4.
His newest and sweetest obsession is with the one and only baby doll we have. My parents bought Bray a baby doll when we got pregnant to try and prep him to be a big brother. He liked the doll, but never cared too much. Winston on the other hand, he is obsessed! He loves hugging and kissing the doll. And gets so excited every time he sees it. I cannot get enough of his sweet reactions:) He still loves bath time and Bray more than anything, although food is now topping the list as well. He is a little more picky than Bray, but still will eat just about anything I give him.
All in all, he is amazing. He is silly, sweet, and so so loved. We had a blast celebrating with family and close friends this weekend. It was such a fun, laid back party- just the way I wanted.
Winston,
We love you so much. You are such a fun and silly addition to our family. This first year with you has been so fun and interesting. You keep me on my toes. You are an adventurer, an explorer, and in to everything- and as much as it makes life harder on me- it makes me SO happy you are that way. We pray you continue to grow in to the most amazing little man, who loves others and loves Jesus.
