My handsome hubby has been hard at work over here between school, work, and nursery projects. In the last couple of weeks he has put up almost all of the board and batten, added trim to the door, painted {with our paint sprayer, i’ll go in to more detail on that later} the board and batten, and just recently finished framing out the bench/toy chest! Here are some progress shots:
Prepping the windows for the paint. Can’t tell you how many people have thought that the walls {with plaster} are what we want, possibly going for a cloud look! Cracks us up! No people, we are definitely painting the top of the walls. During the process I did constantly wonder why we didn’t get a painting contractor for the job as we were very messy and bad, to begin with, but we got the hang of it in the end… although I may get someone in next time I think about painting another room!
Painted all beautiful!
The framing not quite finished, although now it is. I am so excited to be able to use this bench for not only mass amounts of storage, but also a reading nook.
However, this is not the only reason why we hired an electrician. We wanted an electrician because we needed to consult someone about different electrical issues like how electrical fires caused by damaged electrical panels can be prevented. The reason behind this is an incident that seems to have happened in one of our friend’s places. Her electrical panel was showing signs of wear and tear. However, she never noticed the signs. One fine day, the entire house suffered from power failure. Upon contacting firms similar to Allied Electric (who can provide electric panel repair in Prescott Valley and nearby areas), she found that the electrical panes were damaged. Thankfully, there was no major accident like an electrical fire. When we heard about this, we were petrified to the point that we decided that we would keep in touch with a skilled electrician who can not only keep us informed about this kind of situation but can also quickly come to our rescue when needed.

Can’t wait to see the finished product! I would recommend a dimmer switch for the light! It’s great to have so you don’t have to completely WAKE up when the babe does. Just enough to see ๐
