Yep! You are seeing that photo right. We are having another baby! Baby #3 due Sept. 27th!
We are so beyond excited and cannot believe that we are adding in one more beautiful babe. To give y’all a little fun back story, i’ll tell you how it went down.
I always felt in my heart that we weren’t done after having Winston. When Jeremy and I first started dating, we both wanted 4 kids. Then we had Bray, and we both immediately went down to 3;) And then we had Winston, and I stayed at 3, but Jeremy went to 2! So for a long time now Jeremy has been sticking to his guns about thinking maybe 2 is perfect. And I stuck to my guns, that I didn’t feel like our family was complete.
So on the night before Christmas Eve we went on a date. On this date Jeremy shut down the conversation HARD when I brought up the subject of baby #3 again. He said he was done talking about it. So naturally, the next day I literally mourned that baby I would never have {he didn’t know this, since he had to work a few hours that morning}. I cried and cried. I even started thinking about packing up all the baby items I had been saving. And then I decided I needed to deal with it another day because it was Christmas Eve and I wanted to be in the moment with my family.
We went to church and I had such an amazing time and felt so much peace. I prayed that God would slowly change my heart to just be content with my family. And when we got home it was time to open the one Christmas Eve gift. The kids got theirs, and then Jeremy told Bray to grab my gift. I was so confused because we don’t normally exchange gifts. I opened the box to find the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! A big steel #3! I immediately burst in to tears and jumped in to Jeremys lap.
He told me he had this planned for some time, and was SO annoyed with me that I picked a huge fight and ruined my morning that day. Haha.
So, 3 weeks later..and we got a positive test! Haha. Apparently this baby was VERY meant to be!!
We have had some scares this time around. One being the urgent care doctor telling me I have high chances of a miscarriage or birth defects because of having a high fever with my Flu last week. But praise God, everything is looking perfect so far. I finally get everyone that says that pregnancy can be kinda miserable though. This time around I have been SO nauseous all.day.long. But I am trying not to read in to it, because I would love a girl, but want to be just as happy with another boy:) It’s so good that we have access to things like urgent care, otherwise, I think I would have been in a stressful rut if I hadn’t seen a doctor to talk through things. Access to medical care is incredibly essential, so being able to have that support is important.
So there ya have it! Another little baby to join our family in September. Weekly pregnancy updates to follow! And PLEASEEEE. If you have some amazing tips for going from 2-3, let me hear them! Because while we are ecstatic, we are also terrified;)

Sister has three wild boys, she said 1-2 was the hardest… not 2-3. ๐ To send a little hope your way.

So good to hear!!! thanks love

Congrats!! I enjoy reading your blog. I do hope you get your girl, but you seem like you’d be a rad mama to three boys as well. I was really nauseated with my boy, but you never know. I’d love for you to do a post about going from 1-2 and also how you get your kids to sleep through the night. More mommy advice would be great.
Adri says
Thanks kellie! Now that im pregnant again, i will totally be doing more mommy advice posts:)

For me, adding number 2 was the hardest – number 3 was easy!

Congratulations! As the mother of three sons, I truly wish that #1 the baby is healthy and #2 it is a girl. I always feel I missed out on something. Friends have daughters getting married and they are having so much fun with the bride/daughter. I love my boys more than I love myself but still . . . . . We have 3 birthdays and 2 anniversaries in September so it is a very good month.
Adri says
Thanks Patty! We will see in about a week, so im excited!!!

Best Wishes! I have followed both of your pregnancies so far. Don’t worry what an urgent care doctor told you. Ask your obstetrician. Anyway, I was so sick with my first one that I took a lot of Bendectin which is off the market now. It is amazing that she came out with arms and legs (that was a bad side effect). She will be 35 in a few weeks. Delighted with the news. I’ve learned a lot from your pregnancies and childbirth, like the placenta business!
Adri says
Haha Ann you always make me laugh. Glad the drugs didnt have a bad side effect for you. I think i am finally getting past the nausea part so I am super happy!

Congratulations! How exciting! We just found out we are going to be grandparents again the first of October. Our daughter-in-law has been very sick this time. They are hoping for a girl also. I don’t care one way or the other as long as our baby is healthy. Can’t wait to start the spoiling! And don’t trade in that husband — what a sweet idea!
Adri says
haha I am not trading him in any time soon;) So excited for you!!
Vanessa says
Congratulations to the four of you!
Adri says
thanks Vanessa!!

How wonderful!!! I know sometimes people say it’s hard going from two to three because you run out of arms. ๐ But in my case, it was harder going from one to two. Hitting three was no big deal because I was already used to having more than just one kiddo, you know? I don’t know, maybe that’s just me. We had two girls and then our third was a boy and it was SO much fun! (Especially having come from a family where I was the oldest of 5 girls..) Maybe the opposite will be true in your case…two boys and then a girl. ๐ But even if not, how much FUN would three handsome little boys be?! Happy for you!!!
I loved your story of how baby #3 came to be!! SO Sweet!!! I actually have four kids all together. After three, my husband shut me down hard and said no more. We thought we were done for a long time. And then when my son was 5-years old, I started feeling so strongly that there was one more waiting for us. What??? I was scared to death to tell my husband how I was feeling…but interestingly enough, God was telling him too. And so we had our little caboose…another girl. So I now have kids aged 19, 17, and 14…and then 8! hahaha!
