No joke, this might be “the one” on my list of favorite things the hubby has found. He got this amazing Zenith radio at an auction last week while I was at work, and I am in love with it. We had the intention of buying to re-sell, but when I saw it, I said NO WAY. At least not for now. I need to enjoy this guy for a long time before I could part with him. Wait, maybe its a girl-with the sleek lines and all. Either way, Im weird, BUT I love him/her:)
This is the only photo I could find of it online:
So far with the research i’ve done tonight, I think it was from anywhere 1960-1965. The best part {well, one of the best parts} is that ours is in PERFECT, no joke, perfect, condition. No scratches, dents, something not working, nothing-its all perfect. We couldn’t believe that it worked at all, much less sounded so good. It has a record player, AM-FM radio, and a reel-to-reel recorder. Oh ya, and the reel to reel literally pops up out of the player. You press down, and it pops up. I swear I did it about 20 times when we got it, I couldn’t get over how cool that was!
Here he/she is:
Isn’t it amazing!? We already have a great record player out in our dining room that we use all the time, but this one for now is in our spare room off of our bedroom. So fun putting a record on in the morning while getting ready.
Can you tell we like Zenith at our house?

So, do you love it as much as we do? Am I an obsessed weirdo, or do I make sense at all? Either way, I still adore it! What has been your greatest find lately? Anything that makes you fall in love as well??

We just got an old record cabinet, and I love it. We have quite the record collection. Urban Outfitters is selling records now. I love it! Congrats…

I love the lines of it. What a find. I saw someone that somehow connected their IPod to the speakers and made it even more versatile. Keep it!

We have one almost exactly like that! It has a radio and working record player inside of it. We got it at Savers for $20!
