Cooking Club: Italian Style..AKA Lets Get Fat

Last night was another glorious cooking club with my girlfriends. Normally the food we all bring is insanely delicious and somewhat barely healthy, but last night- no healthy Italian foods came to mind. We all made the most cheesy, buttery, garlicky, heavenly food we could think of…and it was SO worth it! If you are a massive lover of Italian food then you are on the right blog today! It can be incredibly moreish and it is no wonder that visiting italian restaurant jacksonville diners and others in various locations, are loved by many who cannot wait to taste the flavors of Italy wherever they are. This time, we decided to make our own versions. The menu was as follows:

I made the cheesy garlic breadsticks from Laurens Latest, and I will continue forever to make these:

Ok I lied, one thing was healthy, we had this great tomato, basil, mozzarella salad. But then that was counteracted by the blooming pizza bread. We made this a little different by adding prosciutto and sun dried tomatoes instead of the normal pizza toppings. Heavenly!

Yes, thats right..we had two forms of cheesy garlic bread! Believe it or not we did have a main dish as well, the incredible Our Best Bites Chicken Cacciatore.

For me, the only thing that could have made this night better would be having a glass of wine with it, but instead I stuck to this:

Definitely yummy, but not as yummy as a glass of Pinot Noir. Oh how I miss yummy wine. I got this drink in a case of 6 from Costco, and it really is so good. We finished off the night with a fantastic cherry cheesecake. Who can say no to cheesecake in general..certainly not me.
On a random note, I realized yesterday that I feel like this blog isn’t as funny as it used to be. Not that I was ever an up and coming comedian, but I would throw out a few good lines here and there on the blog. But now? None. And I figured out why..I used to write my posts most often when it was the end of the night and I had a glass of wine in my hand. Wine makes me funnier than I really am. No wine, well thats just me ‘trying to think’ of something funny, rather than it just happening. I’m lame now. So sad, but honestly so true. Haha.
Happy freaking Wednesday.

Lol I get you on the wine thing. I tend to think I’m stand up material after a glass. My husband probably rolls his eyes. : )

I can’t wait to try the cheesy bread, it sounds delicious! You are still funny-the bit about not being funny anymore had me laughing:) I think the difference between wine/no wine is that you only *think* you’re funnier when you are drinking, lol.
