Dream Book Design

Design Inspiration Monday

This past week was crazy, crazy busy..but we all survived! We are officially moved out of our old home, and are now staying with Js parents for the next month while the major reno starts. It’s funny how having a baby totally changes what remodeling looks like. We lived in the middle of construction, nails, paint, and dust for months in our old home…but not with Bray now! No way! I’ll be showing y’all the full tour of the new house, and doing a recap of all of our favorites from the old one this week. To say that it has been an emotional week is an understatement, but it’s good. Change is good! Moving into the new house means that there will still be stuff we’ll have to get done (more on that below) but I think one of the first things to do may be changing the locks with a Locksmith Highett company, well, one like it anyway! Just because we were thinking about having everything fresh, and completely new locks will make the home 100% ours. Something to think about.

I also read a few blogs about the new area to get a broader context of the distance from schools, the weather, and other crucial factors such as the cost of living and other expenses that we might have to bear once I finally relocate. Before I moved out, I wanted to be mentally prepared.
Weblogs like hhttps://camdenmckayre.com/why-live-in-rancho-cucamonga and others similar to it helped me a lot to analyze a lot of new things, including the overheads I might have to consider before we could finally readjust in our new house.

We have a lot planned for the new house, not to mention possibly having the whole roof replaced. There’s nothing particularly wrong with it, but it could be made so much better! Residential Roofing Services in our area offer over 300 different roof tile designs, so when we have so many options, why not explore them? That’s one of the reasons we can’t move in yet though – a house without a roof is not somewhere that you can raise a child. In fact, almost everything is being stripped out. Even the doors have been removed since we are thinking about installing some french and sliding doors. So, there’s not really going to be much in there for a while, certainly not enough to be able to live there. Therefore for the moment, I’m having some good quality time with the in-laws!

Without further ado, here are some images that make this Monday a little easier:

I don’t think I would ever do this in our home, but how rad is this bathroom:

Hello! I’ve been reading your blog for months just via email and have never commented, but love following along on your remodel adventures and even more-so, your baby adventures! We built a new house starting when our son was 4 months old and I was an emotional wreck the entire time. While I was thrilled about the new house, I was SO ad about our old house and our old neighborhood. Having lived in our new house for nearly 9 months now, I promise you that this too shall pass and once you are in your new house, it will feel like a home quickly. Babies make that happen. Anywhere they are, is home for us. 🙂 Cheers to many beautiful changes in your lives!
