DIY Wooden Christmas Ornaments

Red, gold, silver balls.  Sparkly snowflakes, and white snowmen.  All these ornaments are great, but don’t you ever just crave something a little more on the natural side?  And to not have to pay a lot for them?  Well, these ornaments I made were practically free.  It did require some manual labor from Braylen, who helped me gather the sticks at one of our local parks, but he didn’t mind too much;)
The supplies are as minimal or elaborate as you want to make them be:

-Different sizes and thickness of sticks

-Hot glue

-Your choice of yard, string, rope, etc. {I got my red and white spool from Target}

-Pinecones {optional}

These couldn’t have gotten any easier to make either.  I basically thought of any shape that would be 1:easy to make with sticks 2: or resemble Christmas.  For the simple snowflake one I hot glued the sticks stacked on top of each other.  It by no means looked bad just as that, but I wanted to add a little color and fun, so I wrapped it with the string {which also hid any glue- so win, win}.

Here are all of the different ones I came up with:

So thats that.  These are cheap, easy, and you can make them up to be however you want.  Add different shapes, string, or heck- even glitter!

I’ll finally put up our tree tomorrow, and some simple and easy tips for keeping them alive, and lighting!

    I love your wood DIY ornaments, but I think you may have forgotten one that may have slipped your mind unless you didn’t show it. A cross to represent Jesus. I guess one could say that would be more about Easter and His resurrection, but I think that would be awesome and something to replicate! Just an idea…

      Okay. That’s awesome to hear. And Merry Christmas to you and your precious family. It must be such fun to watch Bray and share the excitement of the season with him. You can tell that you appreciate all the blessings you have. And your home is just lovely. Your hubby is so talented in the building he undertakes and you guys find the most amazing pieces.
