Yesterday we got a package at our door that we had been anticipating for awhile now! We told ourselves that we wouldn’t get a different chair for our office until we had sold our current one. Welp, last week we sold our chair on good ol’ Craigslist, and excitedly ordered our new Eames shell rocker- knock off.
J did some research and found that he could have gotten it for a little bit cheaper on eBay or Overstock, but Lexington Modern had the most accurate {larger} size to the true Eames chair. The chair came in two simple parts, simply needing a little bit of work. The only thing we had to do was screw in four screws..using an alan wrench {which J hates more than life itself!haha}
For now, we put this baby in our office. I absolutely love the chair, but am not totally thrilled that it looks a little big child-sized to me. Maybe its that were used to our huge wingback chairs, or something, but man does that baby look itty-bitty!
So, what do you think? Do you think it looks too child-sized as well? We decided that we will give it a couple of days there, and if it becomes a keeper, then we have a great painting we will hang above the chair to make the wall seem not as big and tall. If it ends up not working for us, theres always other rooms;)
PS- thank you so much to everyone who gave their input for our dining room rug situation! We are trying to choose quickly! You guys are the best!

That is such a great chair! It does look a little “mini me” though. Its always sort of a bummer when a piece of furniture doesn’t work exactly how you envisioned it in the space. You could always use it in another room though. It’s too fantastic to not have a place in your home:)
Excellent chair! It does look a little out of place in the photo – maybe it’s because of the corner placement, and against the stripes?? Just saying …..
You have the chair next to big stripes and a big/high window (I think) to the right. Besides, the chair is white so it looks lost. Before moving it elsewhere you should definitely try placing some artwork above or are you considering drapes? It would make the chair look less “lonely”.
