Sometimes money can get a little tight, especially when we have big expenses coming up, so shopping with coupons or a promo code (I mean, who does not love Macy’s and Target promo codes?) seems necessary, and there are times when we just love to shop with a coupon so we have more money in our bank accounts. Saving a little money can go a long way in the future. I mean, who would not like to have some additional Macy’s discount when they are online scourging for the perfect outfit for themselves!
This can be applied to students as well, they are always on the lookout for ‘deals for students‘ so they can save a bit of cash. Either way, using a coupon to save money on your purchases is a pretty good idea. As well as using coupons to save money, there are also surveys available which let you earn money. Some grocery stores have them to review customer feedback as well as thousands of other businesses. You can also use a company like Lifepoints to earn money on other surveys too! The surveys are quite simple, and you can even do them from the comfort of your own home.
We have had lots of people ask how we always get the 10% coupons for Home Depot or Lowes. So, in this post, we will tell you how we get them. There are two ways that we get them:
- If only needing one or two, get them from the Post Office. They are in the ‘change of address’ packets that you get when you, well, change your address..or need 10% off:)
- If needing lots, the best way we have found is to buy them off of eBay. A lot of the times people will sell them for $5 and you get 7-10 coupons. Especially when using them for pricey purchases, they are WELL worth it.

It doesn’t matter if you have a Lowes coupon or HD, they both will honor either! And friends, please don’t try to use that coupon above. Its just a sample..just wanted to make that clear:):) Hope this helps.

Also, our Home Depot recently started giving a 10% military discount with an ID. Lowe’s has for awhile.

Good advice! FYI, all Home Depot employees have the right to discount any purchase by no more than $50… so if you forget your coupon and ask for the 10%, odds are that they’ll give it to you up to $50!

Great tips, I never would have thought of buying coupons but it makes a ton of sense!

Just a heads up…we used to go to our post office to get the coupons also, but they must be catching on. Now in the pamphlet that used to have the coupon there is something from Home Depot, but you must sign up online to get a 10 % off coupon. This is in Pennsylvania, so your post offices may still have them!
