Have I told y’all lately how much I love Pinterest? Because I do. With thoughts of the new house floating through my mind all day, and just a general interest in all things considered ‘pretty’ or ‘diy’, I am on Pinterest quite a bit. One thing that totally caught my eye the other day was this Pin on getting beautiful handwriting for chalk boards. I am not going to lie, I have decent {at best} handwriting, but when it comes to writing on a chalk board it just sucks. I saw some great chalkboards on Office Monster and it really inspired me to get creative. I do a chalk board photo of Bray every month, and every month I am almost embarrassed at how ugly my writing looks! Well this Pin I think is going to solve all of my issues. Which makes me so happy, and i’m sure y’all will like looking at the photo much more now:)
Emily from Beautiful Hello Blog gave a great tutorial on how exactly to get beautiful writing on a board.
I can’t wait to try it out this weekend for Brays 6 month photo. YES, SIX MONTHS! I literally cannot believe that my little baby is 1/2 a year old this weekend. Kinda freaks me out! If this tutorial goes well, then you better believe I will be using the chalk board way more often. Bray is about to cut his first little tooth right now, and that is something I would love to document this way- especially now with my ‘handwriting’ looking fabulous;)

Michaels, joAnns or hobby lobby have “chalk” markers that are the best. They write like markers but are chalk! I have a chalk board in my classroom and use them and love them! They come in fun colors too!! Just a thought….. 🙂

Thanks for this post, I’ve always wondered how people wrote so beautifully on chalk boards! Now I just have to figure out how to download some cool fonts…(computer illiterate) BTW…you can get those cool chalk pens at Decor Lab in downtown Mesa, that’s the only place I’ve found them. ~Rosanne
