Lighting Makes The Difference and $100 #100reveal Giveaway

ge reveal lighting difference

Left side- GE reveal light Right side- other

GIVEAWAY CLOSED

Today I want to shout from the roof tops that I finally found a way to have my home look the way I want it to, and with one simple little fix! I don’t know about you guys, but I am so picky when it comes to lighting in my home. One great way to get plenty of light in your home is with bi-folding doors. If you do decide to do this make sure you contact Debar for your replacement parts. I absolutely don’t want the typical bright blue from a LED light, but I also am not a huge fan of yellow. I think its so frustrating to have our walls painted this beautiful light grey {Sherwin Williams Olympus White}, and then have them look so off anytime I have to turn on the lights. Lets chat about one of my most favorite rooms in our house, and one that is used constantly, our dining room:

dining room inspiration

Even though this room photographs like it has a lot of natural light in it, it doesn’t. This room is sandwiched between our kitchen and our family room. The kitchen has an awesome skylight in it, and the family room has two sets of glass French doors. The dining room sadly doesn’t have any windows of its own, so often times we are stuck putting the lights on. Which then always leads to a yellow hue over the entire room, and that looks so bad with the beautiful grey and white wainscoting. I have thought about adding in more mirrors to bring more light in to the space, but even then it still isn’t right with the light on. Then I discovered GE reveal ® lights, and it was game over from there! This light literally brings life to the room! To be honest, those who are planning to purchase these lights can surely do so without having any second thoughts. However, once the lights are bought, it would be a good idea to hire a professional from Paul the Plumber’s electrical installation services and its likes to install them in order to avoid any mishaps like short circuits during the process of installation. dream book design family

Anyway, I love that by simply switching out my lights its like I literally gave the room a makeover. Cheapest one yet! And way easier than any other DIY I have ever done;)

ge reveal light

This room is in constant use whether it be us eating our three meals there, coloring at the table, playing with play dough, etc. so the fact that I can now use it at night time with Bray and Winston and still have it look as pretty as it does during the day is so awesome! And the lighting even makes the grains in the wood table pop, and the white from our Okite counters in the kitchen light up! I am in love. A lighting upgrade can always make the whole place look different in a good way. You can check lighting stores in San Francisco or where you live to brighten up your living space as well!

It is always so nice finding a quick and easy fix for our home, especially when everything else in an older home isn’t so easy!
