While we were up in Flagstaff we had the amazingggg Melissa Young Photography take some family photos and maternity photos for us. The fact that she got 600 shots {thankfully that got seriously narrowed down!} in 30 minutes is a true miracle. That girl knows how to get the job done, and fast. Which who doesn’t appreciate that when taking photos with kids?!
I wanted to share some of my favorites from the photos and aimed to share only 5-10. That obviously didn’t happen! It is SO hard to choose! For anyone looking to do a shoot like this, before selecting a photographer, it may be worth doing some research into portfolios like olgatopchii.com, just so there is an idea of the photographer’s style.
Then, once there are a few that have been looked at, a decision can be made on who to hire.
Any photo you see the boys smiling in is solely because they were getting gummy bears for behaving well! Winston, he’s not a camera boy. He wanted nothing to do with standing there and smiling, so we had to get creative;) My tender hearted Bray was just about willing to do anything though, so that made for a good balance!
I went to Last Chance about a week before leaving for Flag to grab some dresses for the shoot. I wanted to be more feminine in these photos than I have in the past. Something about having our first girl just made me want to have these be soft and feminine. I totally scored when I found both of these dresses for a TOTAL of about $10. Yep, $10! Neither are maternity, but both worked great!

I know some girls wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing such a tight dress during pregnancy, but I say just Rock It! The bump, the extra curves, everything!
The fact that we were able to capture this time with our sweet girl growing inside my belly makes me so dang happy. This pregnancy is a beautiful miracle, an answered prayer {read about that here}, and something that I will always look back on and cherish.
I simply can’t believe that this is my last pregnancy. While this one has been about 10x harder than either of the boys, I still feel nothing but gratitude for it. For the chance to be pregnant again, and pregnant with a SO desired girl! It is SUCH a gift. As badly as I want to meet her, I also want these last few weeks to slow the heck down. I want to marvel and soak in each and every kick. To have this time where its just me and her. To stand in awe at just what miracles my body is capable of as it grows daily. I am so thankful, just so so thankful.
