Midcentury Modern House Makeover Finale: Part One

I know, I know, this update has been due for forever…but I am finally able to show off the incredible home they have made. If you don’t remember, I showed y’all the original home here, and then an update with some demo work here, and then the latest update here. The home is finally finished now, and yet still evolving everyday still. They are currently finished with the inside, and now working hard to finish up with the landscaping outside. Its really amazing over there. It feels like a resort, but with much better taste than all resorts;) And the backyard is perfection. There were a few trees in it that we weren’t sure what to do with so we decided to hire a tree expert to look at them. Some had to be removed but one of them we just trimmed and left as it adds some height to the landscaping. There is also a huge pergola, fire pit and a garden to make Martha Stewart jealous. We checked to see if there was any bamboo to remove on the grounds, fortunately there wasn’t any, but the professionals like the nj bamboo landscapers over at professionalbamboolandscapers.com, and others more local, are on hand just in case. It is a massive garden and the beauty of it would make anyone wish to live here. Am I making you jealous yet? Because I am every time I go there. So without further ado, here are some shots of the main living area and the exterior, and I will show you the rest later on. We can all only handle so much eye candy in one post, right?!

Ok, here are some great before and after shots:

And some of the details, after-all the details in this home are all vintage and perfect:)

her fabulous Test Tube Spice Rack

And now for the dramatic front exterior change:

Drooling much? I know, its not fair! No matter how much work J and I put in to a home, I don’t think we could ever decorate a home this beautifully. The best part? 99% of their decor is from Estate sales and auctions. That beautiful island in the kitchen is a vintage baking counter from a local store called Relics. They were able to hand pick every.single.thing for this home. All the lighting has a history, all the furniture is unique, everything is beautiful. Personally, I would have liked to incorporate a neon sign to cast a lovely hued glow over that rich wood work. The history behind neon is also very interesting, if you are interested in learning more, you can head over to sites like NeonMama.com.
What are your thoughts? Would you kill to live in this home like I would?! I promise I will show you the rest soon, because it is all just as good. Yep, every freaking room is insanely good, and that never happens in a house- at least not in ours;)
