So, I don’t know about you all, but I don’t have a ton of time for reading these days. Between the kids, family stuff, etc. I just don’t make time for reading. I love reading so much, but at the end of a long day I often find myself winding down by watching TV and working on the blog, rather than grabbing a good book! Luckily with some travel happening lately this summer, I made it a priority to get in a few good books while gone. Please know- the books I am going to recommend aren’t exactly super mind-stimulating. I read for pleasure. I read to escape;)
One of my favorite authors ever is Emily Giffin. Her books are all light, fairly girly {ok really girly} and easy to read! I just read Heart of the Matter, and I can’t wait to get my hands on her newest book The One & Only.
For sure my favorite author of all time is Francine Rivers. I just read Her Mothers Hope, and I cannot wait to get my hands on her newest book Bridge to Haven. I love when a book brings my thoughts to God, but isn’t as much of a ‘study’ style of book.
My last book I read was by Jennifer Weiner, All Fall Down. I have read almost all of her books, and they are amazing at pulling you in and making you never want to put it down.
Those three authors are so, so good! While I still have a few books on my list to read {and I don’t know when!lol} I am always on the hunt for a new author. So- let me hear it- who do you recommend?

We have the same taste in books! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Emily Giffin, I haven’t read her new book yet, but it’s on my list 🙂 All Fall Down is next on my list too, I want to get it read before school starts for my kids. Right now I am reading Sarah Pekkanen’s book The Opposite of Me, it’s SOOOOOOO good! She’s such an amazing writer! I haven’t heard of Francine Rivers but I will have to check her out too! I love your blog!
