As you probably already know by now, we have been replacing the windows in our home one window at a time. The old windows were pretty shoddy and always used to let out heat, which ultimately cost us more money. It’s about time we opted for some snazzy double glazed windows! After talking with a Richmond window replacement company, we’ve finally had our new windows installed and we’re loving them already. Now’s the fun part – we get to choose treatments. I’d already chosen a few beforehand so we actually only have one more window in our home that is in need of shades- and dang that is a good feeling!
With the hot temps starting to creep on in, this new shade we put up couldn’t have come at a better time. Up until a few weeks ago we never had a window treatment at the window at the top of our stairs. No exaggeration, the sun would beat down so hard on that spot that it would almost make the hardwood floors HOT. That’s a lot of heat to make that happen! I don’t know how a lot of people live without an air conditioner during this time. We might think of installing one with the help of an expert (check for an HVAC contractor in Jacksonville, FL) pretty soon. Considering the way our weather is changing nowadays, I think it will become a necessity pretty soon. For now, I’m happy that we invested in these shades.
In fact, we’d never even thought about window treatments until we came across Mann Kidwell Interior Window Treatments. It’s honestly something that has never crossed my mind before so I’m so glad it has now. Not only does it block the heat, but it also looks much nicer too. Of course, I like to see the outdoors in the daytime, but in the evening time, it’s nice to have some privacy and keep cool when needed.
But now, our problem is solved! And solved in a way that is so good looking. We went with the same blinds we used in our Master bedroom and Winstons room, because we love them that much:) Here is the final product, but if you want to check out the full tutorial, head over to Bali Blinds blog now! TGIF friends!
