Last week I showed off the boys Playroom to you guys, and did the tutorial for the Pegboard Art Center. Today, I want to show off their cute little Art Display wall! Braylen is our little artist, who seriously makes masterpieces daily. While I am in love with the app ArtKive for having all of the kids artwork digitally, there is something nice about being able to physically display it as well.
This is how the display area started. It was an old mirror with random stickers that were practically a part of the mirror they had been there so long.
I wanted the whole space to be corkboard, but I didn’t want there to be any seams. So Amazon saved the day, and I was able to get a large roll that allowed me to cut the cork to the exact size I wanted! We simply glued the cork up, and put up a trim around it to make it seem more finished.
This cork isn’t super thick, so it doesn’t hold up anything thats super heavy, but so far nothing that Bray has made has been an issue. We could always do another layer of cork since we have enough, but for now we just use a few extra tacks and it stays in place.
Bray is constantly asking if he can hang up his next masterpiece. Its nice being able to move whats displayed around so easily. The only issue? Trying to decide what to do with allllllll the leftovers that come down. A mama can only stash away so many arts and crafts;)
At least this little guy isn’t pumping out artwork at the rate his big bro is, because when that happens I am really in trouble!

If they paint on a large enough piece of paper you can use it as wrapping paper. I did that on occasion. Otherwise, keep it for a couple of years and after that you just have to be brutal.
