Ahh yes, the time has come for it to be totally acceptable to put a pumpkin twist on everything. At least thats what I say. These pumpkin pecan muffins and pumpkin spiced snickerdoodles were just what I was needing on the first day of Fall. Trying out new baking recipes always makes me a little nervous {only baking ones, not cooking ones- it makes no sense!}, so I was thrilled when these turned out awesome!
The pumpkin pecan muffins recipe is from Once Upon a Chef, and they are to die for. As in, I ate three the day I made them, and three the next day. I tell myself they aren’t that bad for you since theres pumpkin in them, but its all a lie. Either way though- make them, and if you are wanting to truly die and go to heaven, double the topping part!
The pumpkin spiced snickerdoodles are from Skinny Taste. Jeremy is not a huge pumpkin fan {yes, he has issues, I know} but he said these are some of the best cookies i’ve ever made. I just may be converting him one cookie at a time. Side note- I could never be a food blogger, or photographer in general. Whenever I see these amazing food bloggers photos, and then I look at mine, I just laugh…
Now, if you want to not gain 10 pounds from this fun little baking afternoon, and want your new neighbors to feel loved, you can go pass them out:
Two out of the four new neighbors were actually home, so the other ones will find a nice little treat on their doorstep. I can only hope they are pumpkin lovers like the rest of us sane people are.
