Putting The New Kitchen To Use

The kitchen has been finished for just over a week now, gathering those kitchen sink ideas certainly helped with the design, and we have already had a total of 28 people {divided up in to two nights, thank God!} over for dinner parties. The first bunch was our family, which we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The second group was some close friends, so fun. Cooking for 15 at a time is a task no matter what, but with the new kitchen it has made it just that much easier. Especially now I have made sure to have all my appliances and tools inspected and repaired using a service found on a website such as https:www.jeremy-appliance.com for instance, now I don’t have any equipment that is unuasable! Example: last night I was running behind on getting the food out {doesn’t this always seem to happen, or is it just me?} and I was able to have multiple girlfriends in the kitchen completing different processes alongside me, helping me, not at all in the way of me! That’s a first! Normally if I ever had more than one person helping me, it turned in to a crowded zoo! Hooray for the new room.

With my family I did a fun baked potato bar. I totally forgot to take any pictures of the food, but it was just extra large baked potatoes and tons of different toppings. I had shredded mexican style chicken, bacon, cheese, butter, sour cream, green onions, chili, salsa, etc. I also made a simple tossed salad with this amazing Balsamic Dressing. Yum! Here are some shots from the night {this was obviously before we painted the gray}:
We all got pretty tuckered out:)

For the night with our friends I pretty much made it a Pioneer Woman night, without even realizing it! I made her Best Lasagna. Ever, her Caesar Salad Dressing {minus the anchovies- I know they prob. make it even better, but I just cannot get over it}. Her heavenly Salted Caramel Brownies were simply ridiculous, in the best way possible. So so rich and so so good:

Using my version of a double boiler. Works great:)
I absolutely did NOT clean this bowl by eating the batter. No Way!
I of course also threw in some Our Best Bites goodness too, by using their Garlic Bread Seasoning. Yum!

Cute Melissa Young. Love her.
The ladies {and baby Jack of course} of the night! I love these girls. Overall the two dinner parties were a blast. J and I love opening up our home for family and friends. I love cooking {although I totally admit to getting nervous about my food for groups} and filling our home with people we love. I have a feeling God is going to use our house and kitchen in some cool ways in the years to come! And of course because J is the best hubby in the world {totally not biased, just speaking the truth of course;) } he brought home the most stunning set of flowers I have ever seen, just in time for a great centerpiece:)

Cheers everyone, and thank you family and friends for breaking in the new kitchen! We love you all!

Drinking sangria so i’m not as nervous to watch everyones reactions over the food!

<3,
Adri

I’ve been following your blog for a few months and I have to be honest…I wasn’t sure about the brick wall. But, OH MY GOODNESS! It all came together so beautifully! The kitchen is gorgeous and you have the most phenomenal pieces! I absolutely love your coffee table (on the kitchen side) and the piece in your dining area. Beautiful. I can’t wait to see more!
