Reader Redesign: Card Catalog

Blogging for me is such a fun process. It is a constant motivator for J and I to actually get crap done. It’s a great way for me to keep our life documented. But, a new blessing in it…y’all sending me finished projects of something you made from your inspiration of DBD. That- that quite possibly takes the cake! I had a lovely reader Laura email me a few weeks back saying that she and her hubby finally finished a project they had been working on for about a year! Carazy! Ever since she saw our card catalog makeover over 1 1/2 yrs. ago, she knew she wanted to make something similar. Apparently it was incredibly hard for them to find a card catalog, which was what ate up most of the time in that year process. However, they are now finished with their project, and let me tell you, it turned out incredible.

This is the card catalog they started with:

The thing about card catalogs {at least to me} is that they are awesome in all shapes and sizes. Even if they had kept it as is, it would still be awesome to have! But they were needing it to be more credenza style for their home, and so this was what the ended up with:

So great, right?! They got the hairpin legs from here. Also, she used Annie Sloans chalk paint to give it new life.

Laura and hubby- we give it an A++! Don’t you all agree?! If you have ever made anything out of inspiration you saw from us, please shoot me an email- I would love to help you show off your hard work!
