With Easter coming up SO soon I thought todays Monday Tip should be something to help with that. Whether you are dying Easter eggs, making deviled eggs, or egg salad- you are without a doubt going to be going through a lot of hard boiled eggs. Today I am showing you my four favorite ways to hard boil an egg!
1- Oven Baked hard boiled eggs. Did you know you can do a huge batch of hard boiled eggs by putting them in a muffin tin and baking at 325 for 30 minutes? Its genius and always works perfectly. Just make sure to give the eggs a good ice bath immediately after baking {via Tried and Tasty}
2- Use an egg cooker. Yes, these things may seem silly to have, but I honestly love mine so much. I use it to make hard boiled eggs and poached eggs all the time. You can hard boil 10 eggs at a time in this one, which is so handy.
3- Hot Start hard boiled eggs. This is pretty basic, but the main difference is that you put the eggs in to already boiling water. For hard boiled, let them cook for 11 minutes. {via Life Hacker}
4- The baking soda tip. Add 1tsp. baking soda to the boiling water, and add eggs. The baking soda allows the shell to slip off easily. {via PaleoLeap}
Now you have no excuse to not have perfectly hard boiled eggs this Easter! If you have any other tips, please share in the comments. Between Winston, Bray and I, we go through 1/2 a dozen eggs a DAY- so I love hearing new methods!

I found the perfect hard boiling method a few years ago. I don’t mind that my egg yolks aren’t centered, because it’s usually for egg salad (and maybe deviled eggs) – but if you want centered yolks, i read that you have to lay the eggs on their sides, on a towel, on the counter/table – at room temp, for about an hour. then, from here is foolproof… Put the eggs in a pot large enough to hold them all, but not so they can move around too easily. Fill with enough cool water to cover them, add a little white vinegar (for easier shell removal – I always forget this part!!) Bring to a full rolling boil – boil for 2 minutes. Then, turn off heat, cover with a lid, and let sit for 14 or so minutes. After 14 minutes, pour out the hot water, add a large handful of ice cubes and run cold water over the eggs – I usually keep adding ice cubes and let the eggs sit for a couple minutes. Then, peel and eat! Very easy, and basically fool-proof!!! Good luck! Happy Egging 🙂

Thank you, thank you! My daughter is a chef and told me how to boil eggs, but they never turn out right, I feed them to my dogs, so I always need to make them. Also, if you ever have a party, men Love deviled eggs. Just tried #3 with the hot start today. They were perfect for the dogs. Thanks again.
