These past two months have aboslutely flown by with Winston. It feels like he has always been with us, and it just keeps getting better. Bray is still just as obsessed with his ‘bruh-were’ or baby as he calls him, very rarely does he ever call him Winston:) This month has brought SO much joy and fun, along with a few trials here and there. We knew he was super gassy from the get-go, so I attempted to cut back on dairy from my diet to see if that helps. I then quickly learned that he didn’t do well with dairy at all, so I cut it all out! Between doing that and using the DiGize oil, his gas is gone! I attempted to have seriously 3tbsp of milk in my coffee the other morning and he reacted terribly, which sucks but also is nice to know FOR sure that that is the culprit!
He has not made too too much progress with sleep, but I guess thats ok since he came out sleeping amazing! His schedule this past month has been this: 7am start the day, 8am first nap. 10am feed, 11am second nap. 1pm feed, 2pm nap. 4pm feed, 5-5:30 nap {sometimes I feed him here,sometimes not}. 7pm feed and in bed for the night. I do a dreamfeed with him around 10/10:30, and then he wakes up anywhere between 3-5am. I JUST started trying to put his paci in instead of immediately feed him when he wakes, just to see if he can stretch out that middle of the night feed any longer. Two nights of doing that and he went almost 7hours with it! Woohoo- there is hope:):) He now nurses on both sides {up until he was about 4 weeks he would only ever take one} so that is great, and he still is totally done in under 10 minutes.
This month he has just smiled SO much! It is so incredibly fun to see him react to everyone. He definitely gives me the best smiles over anyone else, but he is just such a sweet and happy little guy! He even has started the cooing and talking phase, which is totally my favorite! He thankfully has grown out of the witching hour, probably around 7/8weeks- we are very happy that is over:) Here are some of my favorite photos and memories from the month.
For overnight he sleeps in his Rock-n-play. He loves being all snug in it. He started to get a little funky flat spot kind of on the side of his head, so I am now making him sleep a little on the side, and he doesn’t seem to mind. Naps are either on the go, in his crib on his tummy, or in here. His best nap by far is from 2-4ish. He always takes that one with zero interruptions and I think its because we are always home for it, so hes usually in his RnP {that is also when Bray naps- two sleeping kids- win win for this mama!}
As of now his eyes are still a beautiful deep blue, but I am sure they will change since neither of ours are! But I love staring in to them:)
This was after his 2 month well check. I have written in the past that I was worried about understanding the newborn well-check schedule but I had all my questions answered by a lovely nurse who was more than willing the help me understand it better. He got his first ever shot that day, the Dtap:( He did really well with it and had zero reactions afterwards, so thats great. But what a sweetie with his little folded hands!
The poor kid gets smoothered in kisses 24/7 from Bray. He does LOVE when Bray talks to him all the time though, and bath time with these two is just the best. Winston just stares at him the whole entire time:)
For about 2 weeks we dealt with a funky rash that I initially thought was heat, then thought was eczema. It is totally gone now, so I am clueless, but it was pretty ugly during!
No, this isn’t about Winston, but I just wanted to throw it in here to be encouraging. I did my first post-partum workout at 6 weeks, and it SUCKED. I honestly thought it wouldn’t be that bad since I literally worked out the day I went into labor, but boy was I wrong. It’s honestly tough but with help from friends such as mine who always send me products and pages such as Nucific reviews and postpartum vitamins, I feel very cared for. So I want y’all to know that if you are just starting on your fitness journey post-partum wise, it is hard..no matter what. But it is so worth it to get/stay healthy for yourself and your loved ones!
My big helper:) With Jeremys new job he has some flexibility, so we get to see him for lunch some days and it is the BEST! We got to meet him at the mall that day, and Bray insisted he was the one to push the stroller around:)
As usual, loving our evenings outside after they both have their baths! It is all of our favorite times {because its relaxing, and means bedtime is right around the corner!}
We went out of town for the first time with both boys. We went to this cute little place called Bison Ranch with Jeremys whole family, and it was a blast! Cooler weather, super kid-friendly, and perfect weekend away.
Thats it! Our second month with our two sweet boys. I wondered if it was a fluke that our first month with him was so good and easy, but turns out it wasn’t. DONT get me wrong and think that all our days are rainbows and butterflies and only happy…I have a two year old and a newborn- and all that comes along with that. But I will say that this transition has been such a blessing and better than I could’ve ever imagined!

Your boys are absolutely adorable. Our grandson just turned one and we are completely smitten. I can not get enough of little cuteness! Enjoy! I know you are very busy.
