Yes friends, you are seeing that right…we are selling our home. Actually, we sold our home! Crazy crazy crazy story. We put an offer in on a great house we found through WilliamPitt.com about three weeks ago. The house had been on the market for 500 days and the exact day that we go to put an offer in, someone else does {and offered full asking price, which we were not}. Needless to say, we got turned down, and decided to move on. We were not in a spot where we needed to move, but wanted more space if everything worked out. Fast forward to middle of last week and we found out the offer fell through, so we made our offer again..and they accepted. Then the very next day we listed our house, and the very next day we had our first showing, and it ended in a full asking price contract!!! It is so insane how good God has been through all of this! So insane! If you’re looking to sell your home quickly so you can have a painless and quick move, you might want to take a look at this guide to selling your house fast in 2019. We did sell our home quite quickly, but that’s probably just luck. We weren’t expecting it all to go through as quickly as it did. We thought that our house would be on the market for quite some time before we could even consider moving into the next house. One of my friends was giving me some advice before we sold our house. She said that we should consider looking into bridging loans to help us afford the next house. She even showed me a bridging loan calculator so I could see how much money I could access. This would’ve helped us to purchase the next house, even if we hadn’t sold our current one. However, we were lucky enough to sell our house extremely quickly, so we no longer required one of those loans.
So now we are in the inspection period, and getting appraisals completed. During this period we came to learn a lot more about home inspections, for example, even a failed septic system doesn’t mean you can’t sell your house, although we haven’t had a problem with this septic tank. So assuming everything goes well- we will be moving mid-November.
What does this mean? A much bigger house. A CRAP LOAD of projects. A crazy busy life. And the joy of making another home our home once again. I’m not gonna lie, I am totally sad and emotional about leaving this house. We put our blood, sweat, and tears in to this remodel. Also, since the day we found out we were pregnant, I had begun dreaming and envisioning Braylen taking his first steps down the hall, running in the front yard with J, etc. It’s going to be an adjustment doing a remodel with a baby, but we are ready gonna do it! I’ll fill y’all in on some tips that I think might have helped sell the house so quickly later:)
Congrats A&J! How nice the whole buying/selling process hasn’t been totally nuts for you… guess that will come in due time with the baby and new-remodel :))) Good luck! Excited to see another great home transformation from you guys !
Yeah! It’s wonderful how it all worked out for your family! Can’t wait to see the new place. By the way…how are your friends coming on their renovations?
That is SO exciting! Love it when God brings everything into it’s place, in His time. I look forward to watching the transformation of her new home. Congratulations!

Exciting! I really can’t wait to see your new place!
Congratulations to your family!! This is so encouraging for me. We’re in Prescott and were just thinking of trying to list our house and get into something more rural and bigger. Here’s to hoping and praying (begging?) that it works out as fast and smooth for us too! So exited to get to see your new home adventure unfold!
So, so excited on your behalf. I can understand you feeling emotional but it’s such fun moving to your first home as a family – we’ve been there and we loved it!
I can’t imagine the rollercoaster of emotions you must be going through right now. I’m a believer that everything happens for a reason so I’m sure God has some amazing plans for your life that require a bigger home. I can’t wait to read about your new, big adventures. CONGRATULATIONS!!
Wow A! That’s exciting! My husband and I and Cantaloupe moved into our dream home when she was about the same age and it is crazy….just make sure that B is not around when you tear things apart….(Lead paint concerns). Our home is 130 yrs old so we had to make sure she wasn’t here during some of the construction. I can’t WAIT to see it! Seriously. Also, I am sure the buyer who bought your current home is completely thrilled that you guys took such good care of your home…what a treat for them. Good luck A, J, and B!!! =)
