Your Baby’s Photos & Social Media: How Much is Too Much?
I chatted yesterday on Scottsdale Moms Blog about how much is too much when sharing your baby’s photos on blogs, Facebook, and IG. I can’t believe that I never thought much about this, but now..now I am. Go check it out, if you want:)
This is something that has been heavy on my mind lately. I use Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family since we are stationed overseas and frequently post updates and photos of my children. The new changes in Facebook have me very concerned about their privacy so I am very cautious with the content I post. I very much dislike the fact that people can hit the “share” button and post my photos without my permission. Recently, a family member posted a photo of my son in his uniform with his name, age, name of his school and the town that we live in. Needless to say we were very upset and had that person remove the photo. Social media can be a blessing and a curse. There are some very sick people out there and for that reason, I would never post a naked photo of my children. Once it’s on the internet, it’s out there forever and who knows who could get their hands on it.
social media sites could be just a virtual place to express your voice or have some fun. For the enterprising ones, social media sites could mean. http://www.realigfollowers.net
