Our cooking club is still going strong, over a year now, and I love it. Because it has been going for a year, we have been needing to get creative with themes so that we are not making the same things over and over. Last nights theme was Halloween. At first, I was concerned thinking ‘how on earth can we make a whole meal based on Halloween?!’. Well we did! I made potato skin ghosts, and here was the whole spread:
Then there was the mummy wrapped meatloaf:
Creepy eye ball deviled eggs:
Melissas fake Halloween dish {she claimed it was mummy wrapped too;)} I could care less if these didn’t look creepy, the green beans wrapped in bacon were heaven!
And we finished the night with some delicious cream cheese graveyard brownies that Coley from Junk In The Trunk Trio made:
Apparently there was a body that tried to get out of the brownie, hence the hole;)
It was such a great night catching up with friends. And I love that we went with this theme, even when I was a skeptic that it could be great. If you are not part of a cooking club, and you want to have an excuse to get together with girlfriends {at least} once a month and sit around chatting with delicious food, I highly recommend joining one. Even if you don’t know of one to join, then start your own! It is seriously a highlight of my month every time!

What a great idea. I just forwarded your link to a bunch of friends as a not so subtle hint.
