In an attempt to not post another sappy post after yesterdays, I thought today I would talk a little bit about something that is making me super happy!
Sweet, sweet Braylen has lived in a room that looked like he was in a freaking toddler jail for too long now. His twin mattress was on the ground for over 6 months {I am embarrassed to even write that} and his window was covered up with tinfoil and a sheet {I wrote about his sad room here, and here is his room when it was a nursery}.
But now? Now we have actual beautiful roman shades in his room, and a real-life twin-sized bed!! We also switched around the book holders, and some furniture. It feels so nice to have a normal-looking room set up in there, and I know Bray is loving it as well!
You can see for yourself how great it looks! Over time he is obviously going to go through a lot more changes and want certain things in his room and others to be completely gone, so we are preparing for that as no child wants to remain a child forever! But one of the most important things in this instance is the bed, it needs to be the right size and the right comfort for him as he is going to be spending the time he needs on there so he is refreshed for the morning and whatever the day throws at him. Right now we are not checking out things like “The Worlds Most Luxurious Mattresses” or “Mattresses specific for a ___-year-old” as we have just changed his room but when the time comes, we’ll know what to do and where to look so all of us are happy with the outcome. I know, with time some things demand a change or an upgrade, and a mattress is just one of those items. Though presently there doesn’t seem a need for a new one, we are open to change, and would actively look at platforms similar to Queensway Mattress, or elsewhere, whenever there is a need. Moreover, making necessary changes, whenever needed is the key to keeping the vibe fresh at home. All the more, when your child is still in a growing phase.
Anyway, to see more about the shades and room, go check out more on Bali Blinds. I will be back here next week with more details on the new changes as well!

Nice bed. Where is that from? Our little guy is in need of a big boy room upgrade too. Love following your blog. Seems like my wife and I are in the same season of life and you’re always tackling similar projects. Jeff from Denver
