Home Staging

A few months back we went and hung out with our great friends {who own Modern Manor} while they staged a home. Staging a home is quite the task, especially when they were given a total of 24 hours to complete said task! It’s only the interior that they focus on, but we can ask companies like this one that specialises in roof repair austin way to check for any roof issues, or a siding company to check on the exterior walls, so that’s OK.

Our friend is an incredible realtor and wanted help with getting this home in tip-top shape to sell fast. It’s still important to make a home look good, however, so in came Ryan and Kylie. They told us that they would probably need similar help in the near future. With them owning Modern Manor and having access to furniture, and staging homes before, they were such a perfect fit! They started with a completely blank slate, and here is how it all turned out.

Don’t worry, J and I didn’t just stand around and watch them work. We helped out a little too:) For example, J helped Ryan level and hang a lot of the art:

And as you can see, I helped too. I made fists, and demonstrated canon balls, just like in the art. What would they have done without all my help!?

One thing that we learned by watching them work is how much quicker you can decorate a home when its not yours. When we buy stuff for our house we contemplate it, analyze it, ask for opinions, and then possibly weeks later actually buy it. We want everything to be exactly perfect, to be in the right spot, to be the right height/color/size/shape/etc. When you are staging a home you can make fast decisions.

By the way, if it has been a long time since you refurbished your home but it has still not been sold yet, you may want to look into estate prospecting platforms like REDX to relist your property in the market. Real estate agents may contact you to sell your property. However, before you sign up, it is recommended that you go through the reviews (REDX Reviews) so that you’re aware of the services delivered by such platforms.

Coming back to the decor, you know what will look good, so you go with that, but it doesn’t have to be perfect. Man, I wish we could sometimes act more like our house was a staging project so that we could actually get all of our rooms finished, but then again-thats part of the process and why we love our home so much, isn’t it?
