I know for a fact that i’ve told y’all at least 10 times just how much we are lovers of Behr Premium Plus Ultra paints.
They’re so amazing that even if we find a color that we love in a different brand, we always have them put it in that as a base. The only annoying thing is that you have to wait for paint to dry before you can then use the bathroom again. We’ve made the mistake of using the bathroom too soon after painting it in the past and ended up having to repaint the whole room! Other than that, it covers amazing, requires as few as possible of coats, very low VOC, and I could go on. When we decided it was time to paint the bathroom something other than the bold blue it was, we also realized we needed to paint the vanity.
We got our vanity at Costco a few years ago. We kind of hate ourselves for doing that, especially once we realized just how easy to is to transform a cabinet into a vanity, or even just build one ourselves. Nevertheless, we had this vanity that was great, but a funky off white shabby textured color. Everything in the bathroom, including the accessories and faucets, looked crisp, clean, and bright like those you can see on the websites of companies like Sydney Home Centre. The vanity clearly no longer worked at the current color. So can you guess what happens in this house when something needs to be painted? I get down to painting.
This is what the vanity started out as:
And this is what it looks like now, with two coats of BPPU classic white in Semigloss {so sorry that I had to take these photos at night}:
I hope you can see some of the difference in these photos, but if not- let me just tell you! Those two coats of paint made our vanity totally fit in now. It actually looks like it belongs. Its crisp and fresh. I love it! I mainly used a small foam roller {from Home Depot} but had to use a brush in the awkward areas.
So tell me, have you guys done any projects lately where a simple few coats of paint makes all the difference in the world? I hope so! And if not- GET PAINTING!!
