I can’t believe it! This is the very final post about Double Dormer flip!!! This has been so much fun walking through this home {and well- every flip we do!} with you guys, and even Periscoping about it {find me at @Dreambookdesign}.
The exterior of this home was the first thing that I fell in love with. While it definitely needed some TLC, the outside had so much character to start with. The double dormers {hence the name of the flip}, the cute roof, the big old windows, and then especially the changes we made! This is how the home started out:
A lot of the front was made instantly better with a fresh coat of paint. We removed the metal door, and replaced the front door and sconces completely. We love adding a pop of color by making the door standout. Sometimes, a new front door can really make a big difference to the exterior of a property. The door before looked quite old, so it probably did need replacing. One of my friends told me to try and find companies that sold entry doors near me to see a selection of different entry doors that I could get for my property. Eventually, we found the door for us and now our property looks lovely!
The grass and plants always help liven up the yard as well, so that was an obvious change that took place.
The other big change we did was adding the gravel and doing a paver driveway. This added such a custom look to the front, and made the yard seem bigger since it wasn’t being overtaken by a big slab of cement. If you’re looking at undertaking a paver project on your property, you may want to know a bit about sealing pavers with sand before you get started. We also had the side door match the front door in color to keep up that pop of color.
Then the back! The garage needed some serious TLC, as did the whole back yard. We put pavers down by the back porch so that there is plenty of space to be able to dine out there or just lounge. I told a friend of mine that we had put some new paving down and she recommended Paver Protectors, Inc. I didn’t know pavers were so fragile but I guess since they’re exposed to the elements 24/7 they’re bound to take a battering! I’ll have to get them sealed as soon as possible.
This cute little garage, or as they used to call it a ‘carriage house’ took on such a transformation. Even though I totally know its a garage, I still feel like is such a cute little spot. I almost hope the new owners don’t need it as a garage and instead use it for some sort of creative work space!
The backyard is a pretty legit size, so it will be amazing once the family is truly living in and loving the space.
And thats it. The Double Dormer is all its glory. As with all the homes we do, we don’t do it just for the business, we do it to create a home for people. To create a beautiful space for people to do life in. To celebrate life in. To make memories in. A home to call their own. We feel so honored to have a part in that- each and every time. And honored that you guys want to follow along this journey with us. Thank you!!!

The home is absolutely gorgeous. Every detail was carefully thought of. Could you tell me the paint color of the front door? Ours is boring white. I recently shared that I painted our pantry door black and love it. Now it’s time to make the front door a little more exciting! Thanks.
