Between me being exhausted and J being in school, the projects have been slacking! J has been working on a new card catalog though, similar to ours, so thats really exciting. In the mean time we are wanting to get some smaller projects accomplished. The office is definitely more put together than it has been in awhile, but by no means finished. We are wanting to DIY a pouf for the corner of the room, and cover the Tripod lamp shade using the guidelines from this tutorial. The rug in the room is the Anthro table cloth turned rug, and we are really wanting to coordinate with those colors. I went to SAS fabric yesterday and got to things that I think might work. Not too sure if the striped fabric is too much stripes with the striped wall, and not sure if we really need the poufs fabric to be a print, or if a solid would work. Heres what were working with:
This is how the tripod lamp looks now:
And this is a possible fabric option:
The navy solid fabric I got for the pouf is an awesome texture. It is nice and thick so it will hold up to people {and dogs} sitting on it often, and the navy is almost spot on to the navy in the rug:
We are pretty excited to get started on these projects, especially the pouf. New fabric for the shade will be great, but making a pouf- that will be awesome!
Thank you so much to all who left sweet comments yesterday on the posts about the baby and telling our families. You guys sure do know how to make a girl feel loved:)

Mmm I sooo want a pouf! I’m excited to see how you go about making one. I really need to learn to sew so that I can make one. They are expensive, but I really want one!

What about a morroccan inspired print for the lampshade? It would go really well with the rug and carry into the idea of the pouf.

Adrianne, I am so happy for you and J! Although I haven’t met you, I know you will both make incredible parents.
As you know, I also have a blog, and I posted something today! I have gotten a lot of good feedback, and would appreciate it if you would check it out (and follow if you like) Thank you and can’t wait till you post again, I check (as well as follow) your blog daily. You are an amazing writer.
Again, congrats on the addition to the family! I watched the video were you told your parents, and the one where you heard the heartbeat, both made me cry. So thrilled for you two!
